Warranty terms & conditions
Last updated: November 2026
1. Return policy
Teknosa offers a 90-day return policy from the date of purchase when the part is unopened, unused and in its original packaging and condition. The customer pays the return postage. Refunds are made after the returned part has been received and inspected. Proof of purchase (invoice, order reference) is required.
2. Limited warranty cover
Teknosa parts carry a limited warranty of 5 years. The warranty starts on the installation date, not the purchase date, and covers manufacturing defects, material defects and failures under normal use.
3. Registering
Register within 30 days of purchase. A valid registration needs:
- installation by an accredited or professional workshop;
- the installation invoice and the workshop certificate;
- the vehicle registration number and the purchase reference.
Registrations are reviewed by our team. Approved registrations receive a Warranty Number by e-mail, normally within 3 working days; it is also shown in My warranties.
4. Claims
- One claim per registered part. A rejected claim is final.
- A claim needs the Warranty Number and the vehicle registration number.
- We aim to decide within 3 working days of the claim.
5. Not covered
- Incorrect installation, or installation not done by an accredited / professional workshop.
- Wrong part selection or a part not suited to the vehicle.
- Accident or impact damage, misuse, off-road, racing or heavy commercial use.
- Normal wear and tear or lack of maintenance; modified parts; damage caused by other faulty components.
- Incomplete or inconsistent documents, or false or misleading information.
6. Not transferable
The warranty is for the original purchaser only.
7. Replacement
A replacement part continues the original warranty period; the warranty does not restart. Teknosa covers delivery of the replacement within South Africa; outside South Africa the customer pays delivery. Teknosa may ask for the original part to be returned.
8. Refunds
A refund is offered only when a replacement is not possible. Bank details are asked for only after a refund decision, and the account holder must be the registered customer.
9. Fraud prevention
Teknosa may reject a registration or claim with incomplete, inconsistent or misleading documents, or with false or suspected false information.
10. Changes
Teknosa may update these terms. An approved registration stays under the terms that applied when it was approved.
